In addition to being a leadership expert, Adam Bryant has had a 30-year career in journalism, including 18 years at The New York Times, where he created the weekly "Corner Office" column in 2009, interviewing 525 CEOs and other leaders for over a decade. He has written two popular leadership books that emerged from these interviews: Quick and Nimble: Lessons from Leading CEOs on How to Create a Culture of Innovation and The Corner Office: Indispensable and Unexpected Lessons from CEOs on How to Lead and Succeed. Adam's next book, co-authored with former Amgen CEO Kevin Sharer, THE CEO TEST: Master the Challenges that Make or Break All Leaders, is scheduled for a March 2021 release by Harvard Business Review Press. Adam Bryant joined Merryck & Co., an executive mentoring firm, as managing director in 2017. He has started four popular interview series on LinkedIn with board directors, CEOs and CHROs, and writes a monthly column on leadership for Strategy+Business magazine. Adam is also the senior adviser to the Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership at Columbia University.
