Apolo Ohno, an eight-time medallist in short track speed skating, is America's most decorated athlete from the Winter Olympics. At the age of 14, he became the youngest U.S. national champion in 1997, winning the title 12 times in subsequent years; the youngest skater to win a World Cup event title in 1999; and the first American to win a World Cup overall title in 2001. He was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2019.

Since his retirement from sports, Apolo has been an entrepreneur, philanthropist, a highly sought-after speaker at global multinationals, and a television star, featuring in and winning the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars, the second most popular series on U.S. television. Apolo has also authored two books, Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday and A Journey: The Autobiography of Apolo Anton Ohno.
